In a salon, the appointment is the product. An AI assistant that knows your treatments, prices and free slots can turn “do you have time on Thursday?” into a confirmed booking — while your hands are busy with a client.

Every salon owner knows the scene. You are halfway through a colour, gloves on, and the phone rings. You can’t answer. By the time you call back, the caller has booked somewhere that replied first.
In beauty and wellness, the appointment is the product. Whoever offers a real free slot first, usually gets the client. That makes salons and spas one of the clearest cases for an AI assistant: the questions are repetitive, the decision is quick, and the outcome — a booked slot — is easy to measure.
Two questions decide most bookings
Look at what clients actually ask before they book, and nearly all of it comes down to two things:
How much is it, and how long does it take? A women’s cut with blow-dry, a gel manicure, a 60-minute massage.
When can I come? “Thursday after five?” “Anything this weekend?”
Everything else — the address, parking, gift cards, the cancellation policy — is supporting detail. If both main questions are answered in the same minute, the client books. If one of them needs a callback, many don’t.

Real-time booking: how it works
On the Pro plan, Enéh books against your real availability. It knows your opening hours, how long each treatment takes and which slots are already taken. When a client asks for “a massage on Thursday after five”, it offers only times that genuinely fit — as buttons right in the chat. One tap, and the appointment is booked.
The booking lands in your Google Calendar, the client gets an email confirmation, and a reminder goes out before the appointment. If you prefer to stay in control, switch automatic confirmation off: every booking then waits for your approval before it is final.

Fewer no-shows, fewer empty chairs
An empty slot costs the same whether nobody booked it or somebody forgot to come. The reminder helps with the second. The assistant can also explain your cancellation policy up front — for example, that a booking should be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance — so it is never a surprise.
Selling the extras, gently
A good receptionist doesn’t just book; they mention the gift cards before Christmas or Valentine’s Day, or the facial that pairs well with a massage. The assistant does the same, but only from what you’ve approved and only when it fits the conversation. Nobody wants a pushy chatbot; a relevant suggestion is just good service.
A voice that fits your salon
A minimalist hair studio and a romantic day spa shouldn’t sound the same. You decide whether the assistant addresses clients formally or casually, what it is called, and — on Pro — whether it speaks as one of 40 ready-made characters. The prices and the free slots stay exactly the same; only the tone changes.
What to measure
Bookings made through the assistant, and the share made outside opening hours.
Which treatments people ask about most — and which they ask about but don’t book.
No-show rate before and after reminders.
Questions it couldn’t answer: each one is a line missing from your price list or website.
